HOWLING AT THE MOON
The Gage Hotel – Marathon, Texas

I saw all these strange creatures with lips puckered and singing songs to the moon. What creatures? Turn the image sideways and they become swimming beasties, in some primeval sea. But here's the trick - turn it upside down and you'll see the real story: a chili ristra withered and loosing its color in the arid winds of West Texas. Sort of an aftershot as I walked through the gardens and courtyards of the Gage Hotel, where I continue to find fascinating images.
