FOOTSTEPS
White Sands, New Mexico

I'd been wanting to get to White Sands for a long time, sort of ridiculous since I generally get out to New Mexico at least twice a year, and in the general neighborhood of White Sands, (in Texas geography anyway.) So I finally made it in June 2008. It was 107 degrees when I drove in. And it was a full moon night, and I didn't know that every person in the immediate southwest and their two dogs would be coming out for the party. Nonetheless, I managed at least one good shot, and I rather liked the footprints going across the virgin sands, traveling somewhere, into the direction of the storm that was brewing. It was an interesting day.
