COLORED LIGHTS
Near Ft. Davis, Texas
Fall grants miracles of color. This particular fall has actually been the spring we didn't have, further adding to the confusion in plant world. Here in the shadows beneath the corridor of trees there was a jumble of leaves and rocks, all coming to life when the bits and pieces of sunlight broke through the branches overhead. It's a wonderful jumble of shapes, textures and color, and anyone who is familiar with my work knows how much I love those three elements of composition. There's a newness of green fighting for its place and its space in the already fallen leaves that have had their day. Look up, look down, look all around. The beauty is in the details.
