IF IT'S GREEN, IT MUST BE SPRING
West Texas

I'm always excited and entranced by that insane color of green that announces spring. It's almost alien, lit from within, and nothing says ALIVE more than spring green. It signifies rebirth on the planet, a will and a willingness to go on, often in the face of impossible odds. It's the blessing that comes after a hard winter, and is soft and supple before the onset of summer, which will dull it and take the shine out of the leaves. I was blessed to see spring happening on a road trip to West Texas, and isn't it just beautiful - magical - and purely unnerving.... in a peaceful kind of way.
